We know the road that we choose to walk on is paved with sacrifice We walk down it with our heads held high We never look back or think twice You resent us cause we made the choice You were too afraid to make Through it all we keep moving forward While you're standing in the same place So keep on talking cause that's all you'll ever do And we'll keep walking until our journey's through You're a coward and a fake your bitter lies just hold no weight We'll walk the walk and always prove you wrong So keep on talking You know that words are a dime a dozen But actions don't come cheap It's easier to lie and deny what you want Than to ever admit you're weak Like my buddy Ian said in that song that he sung You tell me that I make no difference What the fuck have you done? So keep on talking cause that's all you'll ever do And we'll keep walking until our journey's through You're a coward and a fake your bitter lies just hold no weight We'll walk the walk and always prove you wrong So keep on talking

Melody 02:34
I can't seem to find the melody I switched up the chords and I changed the key But still it doesn't sound quite right to me I gotta do my best to make this count No giving in no backing out I chose this path I'll follow where it leads They say if you seek so shall you find Well I must be lost or I must be blind Cause I can't seem to find just what I need And I can't explain why I'm still here Just passing through on borrowed years And questioning the reasons I believe I built it up and tore it down Left it 6 feet underground I've done my best I just can't let it be They say if you seek so shall you find Well I must be lost or I must be blind Cause I can't seem to find just what I need And I can't explain why I'm still here Just passing through on borrowed years And questioning the reasons I believe Whoah...it seems the worst is over now Whoah...I won't stop until it bleeds Whoah...it seems the worst is over now this time I can't seem to find the melody I switched up the chords and I changed the key But still it doesn't sound quite right to me

Not the Same 01:09
Don't think I'm gonna make it through this one I've been here before but it's not the same this time I've gotten use to people leaving It's always been this way I've always been alone It's getting harder to find reasons Not to back out of this race and let them write my name in stone Don't think I'm gonna make it through this one I've been here before but it's not the same this time

Play On 03:29
I was staring one night down a dark lonely highway I heard a voice calling I didn't understand The voice was a spark that lit a fire inside me Play on my brothers play on And I'll sing out this song til my voice proves hollow I'll play this guitar until death takes my hand The songs will live on in those who will follow Play on my brothers play on As time went on the voice grew louder The fire blazed brightly consuming me whole And I traveled as fast as I could down that highway Play on my brothers play on And I'll sing out this song til my voice proves hollow I'll play this guitar until death takes my hand The songs will live on in those who will follow Play on my brothers play on In a small crowded room the band is playing It's hot and it's packed but nobody cares Cause we're all sweating and singing together Play on my brothers play on And I'll sing out this song til my voice proves hollow I'll play this guitar until death takes my hand The songs will live on in those who will follow Play on my brothers play on

I've been doing this for years now and I've had my ups and downs I've finally come full circle here with both feet on the ground I can almost say I'm satisfied with the person I've become I've found something worth living for stopped living on the run Take one last look around at everything that held you down And we'll leave this town Burn it to the ground Never to return Cause we've lived and learned We'll watch it burn I don't know where I'm going now but I'm not staying here I'd rather leave and take a chance than waste another year This place is good for nothing more than killing people's dreams But I'll fight til my dying breath won't get the best of me Take one last look around at everything that held you down And we'll leave this town Burn it to the ground Never to return Cause we've lived and learned We'll watch it burn Tried and true we've got nothing left to prove Time to think for ourselves we'll stand our ground And we'll leave this town Burn it to the ground Never to return Cause we've lived and learned We'll watch it burn

We got nowhere to go another Saturday night Driving around in my car Got the punk rock blasting on the stereo Someone take me back to the start We were the Logan County rejects we were angry young and poor Never had a destination didn't know what we were looking for But we'd drive all night ti the morning light Dreaming bout breaking out Some got lucky and we made it and some are lying in the ground We got nowhere to go another Saturday night Driving around in my car Got the punk rock blasting on the stereo Someone take me back to the start We never had that much ambition beyond just having fun We were all there for each other Still are when it's said and done We all went our ways but the memories stay As sure as the rising sun No matter where I'm going I won't forget where I come from We got nowhere to go another Saturday night Driving around in my car Got the punk rock blasting on the stereo Someone take me back to the start We set a course for a destination Somewhere far away from here Fought tooth and nail to break the cycle Won't become a casualty of fear No I'm not staying here We got nowhere to go another Saturday night Driving around in my car Got the punk rock blasting on the stereo Someone take me back to the start

Time to raise your voice time to raise your glass Drink to the future or celebrate the past Problems start to fade with every song we sing So drink up boys this round's on me Forget about your sorrow forget about your strife Don't worry about tomorrow let's raise some hell tonight Problems start to fade with every song we sing So drink up boys this round's on me We're honky tonk heroes and hooligans tonight We punch the clock and we tow the mark God knows we've earned our stripes And by the sweat of our brow Living for the here and the now Raise your glass raise your voice tonight Time to raise your voice time to raise your glass Drink to the future or celebrate the past Problems start to fade with every song we sing So drink up boys this round's on me

about

Sheldon Vance Charleston, West Virginia

I have never really considered myself a "musician" or "singer"...I am just a fan who loved music so much that simply listening wasn't enough involvement for me.

What I do may be acoustic, but it is aggressive and is put forth with every fiber of my heart and being. I just want to play...plain and simple...I honestly and humbly feel that the songs I have are worth sharing.
